If there is one thing that many parents dread, it is the idea of the summer holidays. Of course, it is great to spend time with the kids, but trying to think about ways to keep them entertained isn’t always the easiest thing in the world.
Well, to help you out and inspire you to have some summer fun, we have put together our guide with some of our clients’ top things to do in the summer holidays throughout the UK.
ZSL London Zoo
London is packed full of attractions and for those that love to take a walk on the wild side, the zoo is a great place to go. The History Tours at ZSL London Zoo is running on selected Saturdays and Sunday mornings until 6 October 2019. Visitors will journey through the Zoo with an experienced guide, a great opportunity to hear fantastic stories.
Museum of London
The museum is the largest urban history collection in the world and there are a variety of different attractions taking place over the summer holidays which are specifically designed for families. The Culture Mile Explorers: A Beastly Family Challenge is free to drop in and an excellent chance to explore the city in an exciting digital treasure hunt.
Warwick Arts Centre
Based on the University of Warwick campus, this art centre is dedicated to inspiring people through arts, entertainment, learning and culture. Known to be one of the largest multi-artform venues in the UK, within the programme that this arts centre offers you will find performing arts, visual arts and cinema too.

St Albans Cathedral
When it comes to great places to visit in the UK, St Albans cathedral is definitely on the list. Not only for its unique architecture, but it is also a cultural hotspot too, with plenty of exciting activities and family friendly tours going on throughout the Summer holidays.
See what you can find out about Romans, Saxons, Tudors and Victorians on the free Family Discovery Morning trails with plenty of opportunities for arts and crafts along the way.
National Museums Liverpool
Liverpool is a fascinating city that is steeped in culture and history. With so much to learn and discover throughout the city, it comes as no surprise that the National Museums Liverpool gives you and your kids the chance to explore so many activities together like Toddler time and Craft and Create. Both are free drop-in events with no need to book.
These are just some of the things that you and the rest of your family can do within the UK this Summer. Why not plan a day trip somewhere near you and give your kids a Summer to remember?
