We’ve an exciting year ahead at Artifax and we’re looking for talented individuals to join our team at our Head Office in Epsom, Surrey.
We have vacancies for two software consultants and trainers, a sales executive and a sales administrator.
Please see our careers page for further details.
We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Graham Dowling as our new sales manager.
We’d like to extend a very warm welcome to the Donmar Warehouse, a new Artifax Event client in the UK.
The Donmar Warehouse is a 250-seat subsidised (not-for-profit) theatre located in the heart of London’s West End. Since 2012, it has been led by Josie Rourke, who follows Sam Mendes and Michael Grandage as Artistic Director.
Over the past 22 years it has built a reputation for artistic excellence as one of London’s leading producing theatres. The Donmar works with the industry’s finest creative artists to present an unparalleled programme of memorable and award-winning theatre, garnering praise at home and abroad. The theatre’s diverse artistic policy encompasses new work, bold re-imaginings of classics and innovative revivals of contemporary British, Irish and American drama.
Denbies English Vineyard is situated in Dorking, in the heart of the Surrey Hills, overlooking Box Hill, host to the Olympic Cycle race. An all weather destination, the “Indoor Wine Experience” tours operate all year, the Outdoor Vineyard Train runs daily from March – November.
Purely in the interests of ensuring that they are making full use of Artifax Event, the Artifax Head Office team will be at Denbies in deepest, darkest Dorking for a wine tour and Christmas meal on 20 December.
We’d like to say a huge ‘thank you’ to our beta testers who are busy evaluating Artifax Event v4 to see how it performs in the real world rather than in Artifax’s development lab.
We are very grateful to these pioneering venues who are helping us make Artifax Event v4 the best it can possibly be for our worldwide community.
We know that some of you are very keen to be beta testers, but weren’t suitable this time. Your interest is very much appreciated and we hope to enlist your help in shaping and testing Artifax Event v4, its various plug-ins and integrations further down the line.
News from Artifax in Asia-Pacific
Artifax Event v4 was showcased at the annual conference of the Entertainment Venues Association of New Zealand (EVANZ) in Auckland at the start of December and was very well received. Jon Oakes was there on behalf of Artifax and says:
“I didn’t even take my laptop to EVANZ this time – I could do everything on my iPad. This really helped to underline the new world of Artifax Event v4 and the result was more sales activity than I’ve ever had at a conference before.”
In the Australian market, Artifax has recenly been selected by a multiplex arts venue and Conservatorium in northern New South Wales, with implementation scheduled for January 2014, so we’re already working up to a busy 2014.
News from Artifax in North America
Artifax and JCA are excited to update our North American clients on our new learning and collaboration opportunity for the Artifax user community. Taking place January 14-15 in Miami, Florida, the first North American Artifax Education Summit will include a detailed Artifax Event v4 update from Artifax Head of Customer Services Tim Leighton, numerous break-out sessions and discussions, as well as opening remarks from JCA President and CEO Steve Jacobson and Artifax Managing Director Sarah Verge.
The Summit is open to all current licensees of Artifax in North America and more information is available at www.jcainc.com/artifax.
We look forward to seeing everyone in January!
It's Panto Time...Oh Yes It Is!
A quick count of traditional pantomimes being staged by 50 of our Artifax Event clients this year reveals Jack and the Beanstalk to have outstripped (outgrown?) the competition, hotly pursued by Cinderella and Beauty & the Beast in second place. There’s a rare sighting of Mother Goose at Bridge House Theatre, Warwick and of Dick Whittington at White Rock Theatre, Hastings.
